ELLIS, Henry C. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Henry C. Ellis, 76, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O. V. Lyon, 405 Russell Avenue. He had been in poor health for the past year and the immediate cause of his death was uremic poisoning. Mr. Ellis was born in Brookville, Ky on Aug 19, 1845. 42 years ago he was married to Malissa C. McKinsey, whose death occurred 20 years ago. When a young man he came to Indiana and settled in Fountain County, near Hillsboro. He was the father of 5 children, 4 of whom are living: Mrs. Lyon, where his death occurred; Mrs. W. C. Bowers of Colfax; Hubert Ellis of Lafayette and Herbert Ellis of the Journal, Crawfordsville. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and three sisters, the latter living in Ky. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waynetown Christian Church, Rev. H. A. Davis will officiate. Burial at the Masonic Cemetery.
